PW will gather on Monday, Sept. 14, at 10:30 am in Room 112, where Rev. Shannon Jordan will lead a discussion to explore how God's wisdom, revealed in Christ, calls us beyond division and into a community rooted in the cross. All women are invited to join these monthly gatherings as we share in study, prayer, and conversation. Study booklets are available to purchase in the church office for $15.

We have a special opportunity for our young singers this fall! Dr. Kari Adams, Professor of Music Education at UNCG, will come to work with children (in grades K–6) from FPCA, Central UMC, and Trinity Episcopal for a Church Street Chorister Mini-Festival. Following 11 am worship, children will gather for lunch at 12:15 pm, then sing together, followed by an “informance” for parents and friends in the FPCA sanctuary at 3 pm. Every Saturday for roughly six months, we provide a warm meal and a safe and welcoming space to neighbors, building relationships and finding Jesus in our midst, right in the fellowship hall. Training for new volunteers takes place on Sunday, Sept. 20, from 12:15-1:45 pm in the fellowship hall. Contact David Germer with questions or to be added to the email list.

Women's Studies Day Trip to Jonesborough, Tennessee

Join Women’s Studies for a fun fall day in historic Jonesborough, Tennessee! We’ll leave FPCA at 10 am, enjoy lunch and time to explore downtown Jonesborough, and then head to the International Storytelling Center for a 2 pm performance by acclaimed Welsh storyteller Daniel Morden. Tickets are just $10! We have 25 tickets available—our bus has room for 15 participants, and an additional 10 can join us by driving or carpooling. We plan to return to Asheville around 4:30 pm. Come enjoy a day of stories, laughter, fellowship, and exploring Tennessee’s storytelling capital! Space is limited, so sign up soon at life@fpcasheville.org.
