Ever considered drawing as a spiritual practice? “Zentangle® is an easy-to-learn method of creating beautiful images by drawing structured patterns and lends itself to prayer and meditation. It is a calming and focused method,” says certified Zentangle® teacher, and our instructor, Belinda Greenaway, who will join us by Zoom.
No prior drawing experience is needed, and there are no mistakes in this method of drawing “tangles,” or patterns, on small paper tiles. The practice has helped others to foster an atmosphere of quiet contemplation, perfect for Lenten devotions, or at any time of year.

FH: Informational Meeting on Intergenerational Mission Trip
FH: Informational Meeting on Intergenerational Mission Trip
March 5, 202312:00 pm - 1:00 pm Fellowship Hall
In September of 2018, Hurricane Florence and the resulting floods decimated the central NC coast, destroying or damaging over 4,200 homes and 1,500 businesses in the New Bern area, alone. We are putting together a First Presbyterian Church team of adults, youth, and families - truly intergenerational - to travel to New Bern together in order to embody the love of Christ to people whose lives have been disrupted.
We will stay in a fully renovated Volunteer Village (with brand new Tempur-Pedic mattresses!), work at designated sites (with a trained supervisor and tasks that fit our group skill levels) during the day, prepare and share meals together, and enjoy group devotions, conversations, games, and exploration of the area together. We will build and live in community with one another in a unique and formative way!
Questions? Contact David Germer at dgermer@fpcasheville.org We will hold an informational meeting for all interested or wanting to learn more, after 11:00 worship in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday, March 5. (Attending the meeting does not commit you to the trip!)
