Since 1997, First Presbyterian has been incorporating caring for God’s creation into the life and ministry of the church.

In this time, the Creation Care Team, the session, church members, and staff have made many improvements in energy efficiency, recycling, resource stewardship, environmental education, and the spiritual connection to caring for God’s creation.

Several of these improvements are now integrated into the life of the church – increased energy efficiency, creation elements in worship, recycling and composting containers, more reusable and fewer disposable items, online communications, and now virtual worship and meetings.

Meetings

The Creation Care Team meets every other month by ZOOM (for now) in odd-numbered months. Please consider joining the Team as we strive to protect God’s wondrous creation.
