For more than 25 years, First Presbyterian Church Asheville has gathered each fall for an intergenerational, church-wide retreat at the Montreat Conference Center. This cherished weekend offers time to slow down, enjoy the beauty of Montreat, and strengthen the relationships that shape our life together.
Join us October 2–4 for a weekend designed for everyone: children, youth, and adults of all ages. We will share meals, worship, conversation, recreation, and plenty of laughter. Adults and families stay in the Assembly Inn, youth may bunk in the Sally Campbell House, and commuter options are available.
We begin with dinner and an opening gathering on Friday evening. Saturday includes group activities, free time for hiking or relaxing, and our always popular Variety Show. The retreat concludes with worship on Sunday morning.
Many members say this weekend is one of the most meaningful ways to build friendships and feel more connected to the church. Whether you are new to FPCA or have attended for years, the retreat is a wonderful opportunity to deepen your sense of belonging and community.

Registration Details
- The retreat begins Friday night, Oct. 2, 2026, with a kickoff dinner and ends after worship on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026. Please see below or on the registration form for costs.
- Sign up online or during coffee hour on Sunday mornings.
- Sign-ups for overnight attendees end on Jun. 24, 2026, and for commuters on Aug. 24, 2026.
- Final payment is due by Sept. 25, 2026.
Cost includes 4 meals:
- Overnight: Two Nights, One adult $210 ea.
- Overnight: Two Nights, Two adults $180 ea.
- Commuter: Adult $90 ea.
- Children & Youth: 5 years and under, free; 6-11 years, $30; 12-17 years, $60
- Family Discount: 10% off per person for families of 3 or more.
- Add Friday Picnic: Adult $15, child (6-18) $7, child (5 and under) free; family max $40
