Helpmate works with our community to eliminate abuse and fear by providing safety, shelter, and support for victims/survivors of intimate partner domestic violence in Buncombe County. Programs include a 24/7 Hotline, Emergency Shelter, Counseling, Court Advocacy, Case Management, Outreach and Prevention Education, Housing Supports, and Children’s Services. Last year we responded to over 3,000 Hotline calls, sheltered 210 adults and children, and housed and provided rental assistance for 45 families as they started new lives.
