At Haywood Street Congregation, we pursue our mission, ‘Relationship, above all else,’ in the context of programs that help address the needs of those unhoused or living in poverty. Core programs include free bi-weekly meals known as the Downtown Welcome Table and the Respite, where unhoused adults have a safe place to recover following a medical procedure or hospital stay. Our vision is of a community of people with different abilities, economic positions, and housing statuses living in relationship together.
